What to Expect

  • A brief education on Fashion Illustration and Illustrators of the 20th Century

  • We will discuss a brief understanding of clothing construction and how to represent that in our drawings.

  • We will learn and discuss different methods for representing textiles, fabrications, and clothing construction.

  • Illustration practice with Fashion Models and curated garments

University of South Carolina

Guest Lecture and Guest Teaching in Spring 2025 at University of South Carolina’s McMaster College for Art and Design.

Previous Guest Speaking:

  • Discussion of current Illustration project and a critique. Engaging students in participation of constructive criticism and professional level success.

  • 1 hour Guest Lecture for full Design program attendees. Lecture focused on careers in Illustration & where students may find work. Presentation is also focused on professional practice and practical outcomes.

SF State University

Guest Lecturing in Spring 2024 & 2025 for Chris Zollna’s Senior Illustration students. Lecturing focused on professional practice and career opportunities.

Previous Workshops:

Stitchology Fabric Store

Summer 2025 Workshops at Stitchology Fabric Store in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sponsored by Blick Art Materials.

  • Full day of Illustration History, learning new painting techniques, practice with fabrications, a raffle, and drawing garments using dress forms.

  • ½ day Illustration Workshop with an introduction to Fashion Illustration. Students learned History, Painting techniques, and where they can advance their Illustration education.
